High on the Horizon

High

High, high, so high

There’s nowhere to see

All the oxygen just seems to retreat

Like a charm that you twist

Everything is out of your control

And you tumble as you fall

I need you to focus

Just focus

Think only on what I tell you

Focus

Just focus

Think only of

See the Sun

Its passing you and me

Wondering why

We chose this catastrophe

Passing through the mysteries

That used to fill my dream

Only to realise I cannot feel their touch

Its a secret I knew, but still I dreamt of

And I imagined it felt like a whisper

From one who loves to the other

So comforting cosy yet leaves a gentle shiver

And I long for that embrace

For the memory that lingers

But still I’m rushing

But still I’m plummeting

With wind all burning

Lashing at the skin of my neck

I’ve got so long to go yet

This is what happens when I try to adventure out of my safety net

Its like we’re caught in the Earth’s primal howl

Battered and blistered for what we’ve done it foul
