Ellipses
Gracefully moving in ellipses
Over and under
Searching and seeking
Endlessly
Brushing lightly
Circling widely
Across the floor
To it all, you pour
Carefully tracing the ellipses
Round and around
Stretching, contracting
What connects between two beings
Make it so to see through thee
Skirting over veneer
As if it could all disappear
Yet swiftly swallowing the tethers
For which nobody really cared
Amidst the precise measures
Evaporating into the air
In the space of the arcs
That are formed momentarily
Lingers the exhale
Where you left all
Thoughts of no avail
All that was left
Was the sensation of motion
Of twisting and turning
Of reaching, of yearning
And the ellipses can be seen
In the air, on the ground
To which way they lean
Can be felt just like sound
Gracefully moving in ellipses
Over and under
Searching and seeking
What connects between two beings
Brushing lightly
Circling widely
Across the floor
To it all, you pour
