Underneath the Lemon Tree
Underneath the lemon tree
Is where I picture us to be
Our limbs entwined so tenderly
Our pulses synced harmoniously
And when this moment begins and ends
Is still to be recorded yet
Underneath the lemon
How pleasant is this summer breeze
On skin exposed so secretly
Shielded by the emerald leaves
Specks of dappled light abound
Flitting through the canopy to the ground
Appear like the sunbursts that light aflame
Every time you call my name
Underneath the lemon tree
Is where we lie so gloriously
And every touch is like electricity
Connecting through my whole body
When you take a bite
Don’t you feel light
The thrill of the zest
As it zaps through your chest
Sour never taste quite so sweet
And the spark lit your eyes
With your hands on my thighs
And the kiss of the tang
As you slip in your tongue
As you move up your hand
Underneath the lemon tree
Is where I picture us to be
In this poem so ineloquent
Despite we haven’t started yet
Concludes us in an amorous vignette
